I'm Jeremiah (Jay) Rabe, and I solve the problems that keep products from working.
For over 20 years, I've been the person companies call when their designs won't manufacture, their prototypes won't scale, or their products generate more service calls than sales.
I founded Atrick Design in 2020 after spending decades learning what actually matters in product development, not in a classroom, but on shop floors, in fabrication bays, and through thousands of hours of hands on problem solving. I learned how to build things then learned how to draw them in cad.
I don't just design in CAD, I've welded, machined, assembled, and troubleshot nearly every type of product. This means I catch manufacturing problems before they become expensive surprises. When I design something, I know it will work because I've built things like it with my own hands and can see it before its drawn up.
My background spans:
20+ years of MIG/TIG welding and fabrication
Complete product lifecycle from napkin sketch to production line
Mechanical, electrical, and software design, their overlap, and integration
Everything from championship race cars to robotics
A client came to me after another firm couldn't solve their product challenge despite lots of effort. I delivered a working 3D printed prototype in under a week that solved their problem.
Another client had an idea for a patent, I had a working prototype, dev board, and functional code in 3 days.
This isn't unusual. It's what happens when you can see and focus on what actually matters and have the skillsets to deliver.
I believe in simple, elegant solutions that work and tick all of the boxes. No unnecessary complexity. No impressive-looking designs that can't be manufactured. No lengthy analysis paralysis phases while problems persist.
From my Connecticut workshop, I can prototype your idea today with our large-format 3D printers (up to 31.5" x 31.5" x 39"), validate it tomorrow, and have a production plan by week's end.
I started this company because too many products fail not from bad ideas, but from the gaps between design, reality, and production. My role is to bridge that gap, whether you're a startup needing your first prototype or an established company fixing or optimizing what's already in production.
